Doran is originally from Raton, New Mexico.  He graduated from Texas Women’s University in Denton, Texas where he received a bachelor’s degree in Biology.  He attended Physical Therapy school at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas earning his Doctor of Physical Therapydegree.   Following graduation, Doran moved to Shreveport and began his career at Willis-Knighton Health Systems.  He has been practicing in the Shreveport-Bossier area for 20 years with specialization in orthopedics, manual therapy, sport rehabilitation and injury prevention.   Doran also utilizes his specialty training by working with recreational, competitive and professional athletes from the region.  Doran is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialistthrough National Strength and Conditioning Association, holds Certification of Dry Needling (Cert. DN) from the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy, Functional Movement Screen(FMS 1) and Sportsmetrics Prevention Program.  In April of 2018, with his business partner Patrick Vance, he opened PREP Physical Therapy focusing on treating orthopedic conditions while incorporating prevention and education to better the lives of their patients.  Doran enjoys hunting and spending time outdoors.  Doran is happily married to Susan for 20 years and has 2 beautiful daughters.
